Position Overview The Endpoint Management Specialist will support NYPA and Canals' enterprise End-User Computing (EUC) environment, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr/SCCM) and Microsoft Intune to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient endpoint operations across the enterprise. This position is part of the Core IT Infrastructure team and plays a critical role in maintaining endpoint security, compliance, automation, and lifecycle management.
Work Schedule & Engagement Requirements Monday-Friday 7.5-hour workday + 0.5-hour unpaid lunch Paid for actual hours worked (no paid vacation or sick days) Business closed during NYPA & Canals holidays (no work permitted) Hybrid schedule required: Minimum 3 days onsite (may be fully onsite depending on business needs) Fully remote not permitted Candidates must be local to the Tri-State area W2 hourly employees only Remote privileges may be revoked at any time NYPA provides desktops/workstations (not laptops) Candidates must have proper home equipment/internet for hybrid days
Key Responsibilities Endpoint Lifecycle Management
Deploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtual endpoints using Microsoft ConfigMgr and Intune Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Manage and maintain application stack across the AVD environment Administer and support enterprise AVD fleet Application Packaging & Deployment
Develop, test, and deploy custom application packages Automate software installations and updates Create scripts (PowerShell/Batch) for automation Patch Management & Compliance
Deploy and test OS and third-party application updates Monitor compliance and remediate vulnerabilities Maintain secure endpoint posture Policy Enforcement
Implement device compliance policies and configuration baselines Enforce enterprise security standards Monitoring & Reporting
Generate reports on endpoint health and compliance Provide actionable insights to IT leadership Collaboration & Support
Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and service desk teams Support enterprise IT initiatives and troubleshoot endpoint issues
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 7 years managing enterprise-scale endpoint environments Strong expertise in:
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/ConfigMgr) Microsoft Intune Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Batch) Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation Knowledge of compliance frameworks and endpoint security best practices Experience with third-party patching tools Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Education & Certifications (Preferred)
Microsoft certifications such as:
MD-102 AZ-140 SC-300
Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments Familiarity with ITIL and enterprise change management processes
