Job Summary:
This position reports directly to the Regional Head of Talent Management and Corporate HRBP for Regional Global Functions and Business Units located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. As a Senior HR Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting the Corporate HRBP and partnering closely with business unit leaders, global function leaders, and the Talent Management team.
You'll help shape a positive team member experience, ensure HR programs are delivered smoothly and consistently, and support the growth and development of our people. You'll also guide career development efforts for salaried team members, drive succession planning for leadership roles, and contribute to enterprise-wide talent initiatives. Strong relationships, thoughtful collaboration, and a proactive mindset will be at the heart of your success in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Partnership & HR Support Partner with the Corporate HRBP to support the Technical Center, Corporate Office and Regional Global Functions across all HR needs, including workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. Build strong relationships with regional and global function leaders to understand business priorities and provide HR solutions aligned with goals. Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders on performance, leadership development, engagement, and employee relations. Talent Management & Development
Lead and coordinate career development processes for all salaried team members, ensuring visibility, consistency, and alignment with organizational capability needs. Drive and manage the succession planning process for management roles, including collecting insights, supporting calibration discussions, and tracking development actions. Support and partner with the Talent Management team across multiple initiatives, including performance management cycles, talent review preparation, leadership development program coordination, and learning & development tracking. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to prepare presentations, workforce reports, dashboards, and documentation to support HR and business decisions. Organizational Development & Engagement
Support the design and deployment of development pathways, capability frameworks, and functional career matrices. Partner with leaders to identify skill gaps, training needs, and development resources for both individuals and teams. Advocate for a strong culture of learning, leadership growth, and continuous improvement. HR Program & Process Execution
Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, standards, and compliance requirements across supported functions. Support enterprise-wide HR projects and initiatives, providing regional coordination and execution as required. Assist in change management efforts, including organizational redesign, communication planning, and leader readiness. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to build strong business partnerships and influence across multiple levels of leadership. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret talent data, develop insights, and communicate recommendations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to navigate complex matrixed environments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. High level of initiative and continuous improvement mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Workday, LMS systems, and SharePoint is preferred.
Qualifications
Experience:
8-10 years of progressive HR experience with significant HRBP responsibility. Automotive industry experience preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Travel:
Occasional; approximately 5-10%.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Hybrid office environment, typically at least three days per week on-site.
