Role Overview The Client is seeking an
In-Person Sales Development Representative
to work in the field, visiting restaurants and booking qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives. As the first in-person point of contact for many merchants, you will introduce DoorDash, build rapport quickly, educate restaurant owners on our value, and secure high-quality meetings. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy face-to-face selling, working independently in the field, and achieving measurable sales outcome
Key Responsibilities Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects weekly within the assigned territory Identify owners or key decision-makers and build trust through brief, in-person conversations Clearly pitch client’s value proposition to help restaurants grow orders, reach new customers, and improve operations Book qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives Log all visits, conversations, and outcomes accurately in Salesforce and other sales tools Collaborate closely with Outside Account Executives on target accounts and follow-up strategies Plan and manage daily routes to maximize productivity and meeting conversions Follow up with merchants via phone, text, and email to confirm meetings and maintain engagement Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for meetings set, meetings held, and revenue impact Act as the local market representative, sharing merchant feedback to improve DoorDash products and sales messaging
Qualifications 1+ year of experience in outbound sales, field sales, canvassing, field marketing, or customer-facing roles involving new business generation Experience in sales, hospitality, retail, or service industries is acceptable Comfortable conducting high-volume, short, in-person conversations daily Ability to quickly learn and articulate DoorDash’s value proposition Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, or similar platforms is a plus Restaurant, food & beverage, or local business experience is a plus Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation Willingness to work restaurant-friendly hours, including early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends
Physical & Work Requirements Ability to be on your feet for extended periods while visiting merchants Ability to drive frequently within the assigned territory Ability to carry light materials such as flyers, one-pagers, or a tablet
