
Sales Representative (Long Island)

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development Identify, pursue, and secure new rental and sales opportunities within assigned territories or customer segments. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers, including contractors, industrial clients, and commercial construction firms. Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate project requirements and match customers with the appropriate aerial lift solutions (boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, etc.). Prepare and present proposals, pricing packages, and equipment recommendations to customers. Negotiate rental rates, contract terms, and service agreements in accordance with company policy and margin requirements. Collaborate with branch leadership to develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting high-growth accounts
Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with both new and existing customers through consistent communication, jobsite support, and reliable service. Serve as the primary point of contact for related inquiries, issues, or escalations. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the rental period, including coordinating delivery, pickup, maintenance, and equipment exchanges as needed. Provide post-rental follow-up to reinforce value and identify future opportunities.
Coordination & Operational Support Work closely with operations, dispatch, and service teams to ensure accurate equipment availability, timely delivery, and efficient fleet utilization. Collaborate with the inside sales team to manage order processing, documentation, and customer updates. Monitor fleet condition and performance, providing feedback on utilization trends and equipment needs. Ensure all required permits, customer certifications, and jobsite documentation are properly managed when necessary.
Market Knowledge & Brand Representation Stay informed on market conditions, competitor offerings, and industry trends in aerial equipment and access solutions. Participate in trade shows, safety meetings, and customer events to promote The Client’s capabilities. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of The Client’s full product and service portfolio with the Aerial Work Platforms. Uphold The Client’s commitment to safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications Required Proven experience in equipment rental, construction sales, or industrial services (or similar equipment highly preferred). Strong understanding of aerial lifts, OSHA requirements, jobsite operations, and general construction processes. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage time effectively in a field-based environment. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Preferred Prior experience with The Client or a similar access solutions provider. Knowledge with Salesforce and Rentalman. Existing relationships with contractors, industrial plants, or construction managers. Ability to offer access solutions in all different circumstances.
