Position Overview The Technical Sales Executive – Aerospace represents Mersen Bay City in promoting and selling solutions for the aerospace industry, supporting both civil and military applications. This role is critical to expanding Mersen’s aerospace footprint by managing existing customer relationships while actively developing new business opportunities aligned with the company’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including purchasing, engineering, and technical leadership, to secure and grow sales contracts. Serve as the primary customer contact, providing end-to-end planning and technical support for the application of Mersen product lines. Prepare and manage quotations, recommend design alternatives to improve manufacturability, and align customer requirements with Mersen’s processes and capabilities. Coordinate with engineering teams to assess customer needs and recommend compliant solutions that meet applicable industry standards. Manage marketing details including pricing strategy, product positioning, customer correspondence, and coordination between engineering and quality teams. Collaborate closely with manufacturing representatives and customer service to ensure responsiveness to key customers and targeted growth accounts. Monitor and report on competitive products, pricing, sales techniques, and market strategies. Support sales forecasting for assigned products and submit regular reports on sales activity, revenue, and expenses. Lead customer-facing coordination for new product development in partnership with Mersen Engineering and R&D. Act as the voice of the customer (VOC) within Mersen, continuously monitoring and improving quality, delivery, product conformance, and performance.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (aerospace engineering strongly preferred). Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical product management and/or business development. At least 2 years of direct aerospace sales experience. Demonstrated success in business development and account growth. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required). Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

Additional Requirements Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily within North America. Position is based onsite in Bay City, Michigan.
