In-House Paralegal

to provide high-level legal and administrative support. This role will primarily assist the leasing team with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases and related documents using the Landlord's standard templates, while also supporting property management and serving as a key liaison with outside counsel on various legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a collaborative, team-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Partner with the leasing department to draft, review, revise, and negotiate retail commercial leases, amendments, renewals, assignments, and other related agreements using Landlord templates. Review and analyze tenant applications, ensuring alignment with ownership's business objectives and risk tolerance. Manage and organize general liability claims for the company's shopping centers. Support the property management team by preparing notices of default, 3-day demand letters, estoppel certificates, and other tenant correspondence as needed. Serve as primary point of contact with external counsel on litigation, evictions, collections, bankruptcies, and other legal proceedings. Perform additional paralegal and administrative tasks to support the legal and operational needs of the organization. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate (in-house or law firm setting preferred). Strong working knowledge of retail commercial leasing and transaction documents is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat required. Experience with Yardi Voyager is a significant plus. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, attorneys, and internal teams. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while thriving in a close-knit, family-like team. What We Offer Competitive starting base salary of $80,000, plus performance-based bonus.
