Functional Role: Director of QA (Automaton focused) Location: Hybrid 3x a week in Tarzana, CA Salary: Base + Bonus
Our client is seeking a transformational Director of QA to lead and modernize enterprise-scale quality practices across a growing technology portfolio. This leader will elevate automation maturity, optimize team structure, and drive best-in-class testing strategies across data-intensive platforms. Leads the enterprise QA function (~12 internal + vendor resources), assessing current structure and driving organizational optimization and resource consolidation. Defines and executes a comprehensive QA automation strategy, transitioning a largely manual testing environment to scalable, automated frameworks across products and data pipelines. Champions Selenium and Python-based automation solutions, ensuring robust test coverage, data validation, and quality across databases, APIs, and application layers. Drives IT modernization and quality transformation initiatives, breaking down complex automation challenges into executable roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Partners cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data leaders to align QA practices with business objectives and ensure consistent, high-quality software delivery. Brings deep enterprise QA leadership experience (with preferred exposure to accounting, banking, or payments platforms) and a proven track record of building high-performing teams during organizational growth.
