Estimator for Structural Steel Projects , you will be instrumental in estimating and preparing bids for various commercial construction projects. Your tasks will include evaluating project specifications, generating precise cost estimates, and assisting in securing contracts. Accurately prepare steel estimates for numerous commercial projects. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and materials. Sales & Client Interaction:
Work collaboratively with clients, architects, and general contractors to understand project needs and offer competitive bids. Maintain relationships and pursue project opportunities. Cost Analysis & Budgeting:
Review project requirements and costs to ensure all estimates remain within budget. Provide insights on material selections and suggest alternative solutions to meet design and budgetary constraints. Project Coordination:
Collaborate with project management and fabrication teams to guarantee timely material delivery and efficient project execution. Growth & Advancement:
Seek opportunities for increased responsibilities, including managing projects from start to finish and leading teams through the design, fabrication, and installation phases. Qualifications: Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in steel estimating, particularly in structural and miscellaneous steel for commercial projects. Knowledge:
Solid understanding of commercial construction processes, structural steel design, and industry standards. Familiarity with estimating software is advantageous. Skills:
Exceptional mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Sales Acumen:
