Highmark Health Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Become a vital member of Highmark Health's AI Platforms and Services (AIPS) team as a Senior Technical Architect. We are on the lookout for a visionary leader in system design and solution architecture focused on enterprise AI initiatives. In this essential role, you'll drive AI-driven innovation and deliver cutting-edge AI solutions and infrastructure. Your technical acumen will be instrumental in translating business requirements into impactful technical solutions, aligning with our strategic objectives for long-term success. As a leader, you will oversee the comprehensive technical vision for our enterprise-grade AI services and platforms. You will design scalable and secure systems, implement enterprise integrations through APIs, messaging systems, and data pipelines, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Stakeholders, Data Science, Engineering, and Product. Your ability to set the strategic technical direction will be crucial in developing AI-enabled solutions. Additionally, you will evaluate and recommend new technologies, guide proof-of-concept (POC) efforts, and present your architectural designs to the Architecture Review Board. We seek a candidate with extensive experience in software engineering and solution architecture, particularly in Python, plus a robust understanding of enterprise integrations. A genuine passion for AI advancements, cloud technologies, and enterprise solutions is vital, along with a proactive approach to spotting innovation opportunities that align with Highmark's roadmap. While extensive AI experience is not mandatory, familiarity with AI solutions is a significant advantage. Compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA and Healthcare IT requirements, is essential. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Drive the development of a complex architectural vision and strategy in alignment with business goals. Engage and influence senior stakeholders to ensure consensus on architectural decisions. Assess and select new technologies, while maintaining detailed architectural documentation. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the implementation and operation of architectures. Provide expert guidance and promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team. Complete other assigned duties as necessary. EXPERIENCE Required A minimum of 10 years in the architecture, design, and implementation of complex systems. Preferred 8+ years in software development, solution architecture, or enterprise systems design. 2+ years of practical experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform. A proven history of leading system design and architecting enterprise applications. Strong expertise in Python programming, particularly with scalable, production-grade systems. Familiarity with DevOps, MLOps, Containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Expertise in enterprise integrations involving APIs, messaging systems, and data pipelines. Experience with AI-enabled solutions that support strategic business initiatives. Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to achieve technical objectives. Experience leading proof-of-concept initiatives for technical solution validation. Proficiency in creating and maintaining comprehensive architectural documentation. Excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts to varied audiences. Awareness of healthcare compliance standards, such as HIPAA. Experience in providing mentorship and technical leadership to peers. $108,000.00 Pay Range Maximum:
