Role Overview The Associate Director is a senior, hands-on accounting leader responsible for overseeing complex partnership, trust, and entity accounting. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to independently manage intricate accounting workstreams in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee partnership, trust, and complex entity accounting for ultra-high-net-worth family structures
Serve as subject-matter expert for Sage Intacct, including chart of accounts design and dimensional reporting
Lead Sage implementations, system conversions, and client onboarding initiatives
Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, allocations, and financial statements
Maintain partner capital accounts, allocations, contributions, and distributions
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
Present accounting structures and reporting matters in client meetings
Identify accounting risks and inefficiencies; recommend process improvements
Serve as escalation point for complex accounting matters
Support standardized accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA strongly preferred
8–12+ years of partnership, family office, public accounting, fund administration, or complex entity accounting experience
Deep technical knowledge of partnership accounting and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct or similar enterprise accounting systems
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to independently manage multiple complex workstreams
Preferred
Experience supporting ultra-high-net-worth families and multi-entity structures
Experience with accounting system implementations or data transitions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
