Familiarity with drywall estimating software such as QuickBid, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff (OST) is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Drywall Estimation:
Create precise and detailed cost estimates for drywall installations on large commercial projects, covering materials, labor, and equipment expenses. Bid Preparation:
Formulate competitive bid proposals for drywall contracts, coordinating with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and calculations. Project Coordination:
Partner with project managers, architects, and general contractors to analyze project specifications and blueprints for accurate estimating. Cost Analysis:
Execute thorough cost analyses and feasibility studies to identify potential savings without sacrificing quality. Takeoffs and Quantification:
Perform meticulous material takeoffs for drywall scopes of work. Vendor Coordination:
Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to acquire quotes ensuring competitive pricing on materials and labor. Contract Review:
Assist in evaluating and negotiating contract terms, encompassing scope, pricing, and change orders. Software Proficiency:
Utilize drywall estimating software to generate estimates, monitor project progress, and maintain accurate cost records. Budget Monitoring:
Aid project managers in tracking budget and expenses throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to financial plans. Client Interaction:
Offer expert support and advice to clients, addressing inquiries and concerns related to estimates or drywall work. Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in estimating
drywall work
for large commercial projects. Proficient in drywall estimating software such as
QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), PlanSwift, or similar. Strong understanding of drywall materials, techniques, and building codes relevant to commercial construction. Experience in material takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis. Ability to interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Capable of managing multiple estimates and deadlines concurrently. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. Knowledgeable about the commercial construction project lifecycle and processes. A degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
