The Role We're seeking a visionary Principal Mobile Product Designer to transform our large-scale mobile applications and establish the next generation of mobile user experiences. In this role, you'll lead the visual and interaction design evolution of our mobile products, bringing modern design thinking to complex enterprise workflows while mentoring other designers and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

What You'll Do
Lead the visual design transformation of our mobile applications, reimagining complex enterprise workflows for mobile-first experiences
Drive the evolution of our mobile design system, establishing patterns that work seamlessly across iOS and Android platforms
Champion innovative visual design approaches that modernize our product aesthetic while maintaining enterprise functionality
Create comprehensive design specifications, high-fidelity prototypes, and interactive mockups for mobile experiences
Collaborate with native mobile development teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
Mentor and guide other designers in mobile-specific design principles and best practices
Partner with Product leadership to define mobile product strategy and user experience vision
Conduct design critiques and establish design quality standards for mobile products
Requirements
7+ years of experience in mobile product design, with expertise in both iOS and Android platforms
Exceptional visual design skills with a portfolio showcasing modern mobile app transformations
Deep understanding of mobile design patterns, iOS Human Interface Guidelines, and Material Design principles
Proven experience redesigning large, complex mobile applications with multiple user flows
Strong expertise in mobile-specific interaction design, including gestures, animations, and transitions
Experience leading design initiatives that significantly improve mobile user experience
Proficiency in mobile prototyping tools and understanding of technical constraints for native development
Track record of mentoring designers and elevating mobile design standards
Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
West coast candidates are preferred
Nice to Have
Experience with enterprise mobile applications and B2B SaaS mobile products
Strong background in mobile design systems and component libraries
Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards and inclusive design for touch interfaces
Experience with advanced mobile interactions, micro-animations, and motion design
Understanding of mobile performance considerations and their impact on design decisions
Familiarity with mobile user research methodologies and mobile usability testing
Experience with cross-platform design considerations and responsive mobile layouts
Knowledge of emerging mobile technologies and design trends
Previous experience transforming legacy mobile experiences into modern, intuitive interfaces

Compensation
Base pay: $150,000 - $250,000
The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
