ICBCS Global Markets offers sales, structuring and trading expertise to our clients across a range of products, with market leading expertise in Emerging Markets (EM) and Commodities. Global Markets comprises two core divisions: Commodities and Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC). The Commodities division provides trading, sales, working capital solutions and structuring expertise through its Metals and Energy teams. The division's expertise extends to the management and financing of physical commodity inventories across these asset classes. The FIC division offers a comprehensive range of vanilla and structured products and solutions for its clients' treasury management, liability management, financing and investment requirements. Specialising in EM, the FIC product offering covers foreign exchange, interest rate and credit asset classes. FIC Financing products also cover equity and fund asset classes as collateral. FIC clients include EM Corporates, Banks and Sovereigns (EM CBS), institutional investors globally, as well as our shareholders and their clients. The division is subdivided into two departments: FIC Trading managed by the Global Head of FIC Trading, comprising Local Markets FX and Rates, Credit and Structured Trading FIC Sales & Origination, Structuring and Portfolio Management managed by the Global Head of FIC Sales and Structuring, FIC Origination, Structuring and Portfolio Management teams With respect to the Director, LATAM Local Markets and Credit Trading, the individual will be part of the FIC Trading department, which is a department responsible for: Local currency EM rates and FX trading EM credit trading Electronic FX (eFX) trading across developed market (DM) and EM currencies Repo, structured derivatives and other collateralized financing Your Role
The Director is responsible for managing product development, market making and risk management in the Americas region with the objective of extending ICBCS\' EM and Frontier EM trading expertise to selected LATAM markets and building foundations for a client franchise to be established in the Americas region. Key responsibilities: Execute trading strategies across the LATAM region Provide liquidity and pricing to clients and managing risk in FIC markets Price, structure and trade FX products, credit instruments, interest rate derivatives, collateralised financing transactions and similar activities, ensuring alignment with market conditions, liquidity constraints and regulatory requirements Manage electronic trading platforms and other automated execution tools to automate flows and expand market coverage across EM and DM Key responsibilities are as follows; The selected text outlines the principal responsibilities of the Director within ICBCS' FIC Trading function in the Americas region. Key areas covered include: Delivering business plans and meeting targets; participating in management forums; holding regular meetings with direct reports; servicing sales requests; managing risk in line with strategic objectives; sharing market information; and contributing to revenue goals. The role encompasses defining and delivering management information (MI) to business heads and ensuring material information is appropriately reported. Risk management duties require adherence to regulatory limits, legal, compliance, and anti-money laundering requirements, with proactive escalation of operational incidents. New business initiatives must be robustly sponsored and governed. The Director is also expected to uphold the firm\'s values, escalate compliance issues, ensure mandatory training is completed, and operate within agreed intercompany arrangements. Management responsibilities include ensuring the team is suitably skilled and staffed to execute strategy effectively. Ensure direct reports have appropriate mandates and training to carry out their jobs effectively This individual selected for this role shall be designated as a principal pursuant to relevant regulations of the Financial Industry Regulatory Association (FINRA) and National Futures Association (NFA) and is expected to comply with the regulatory conduct rules applicable to the regime. 7-15yrs+ of FIC trading experience Proven track record in delivering alpha from risk positioning Strong technical expertise and experience across FIC product offering. Strong understanding of regulatory regimes applicable to ICBCS and trading jurisdictions. Language skills for relevant regions preferred Exams or relevant approvals required: US Financial Regulations Registration as a principal with FINRA and NFA, including possession of FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses and completion of NFA swap associated person proficiency training What we are looking for The personal attributes required for the role include a global perspective, resilience, client focus, meticulous attention to detail, a results-driven approach, and a strong sense of integrity.
