About The Role Are you ready to dive into complex business environments and contribute to high‑impact recommendations that drive client success? As a director you will play a key role in formulating strategic recommendations and implementing changes to clients by leading individual project modules and workstreams, deploying commercial acumen in performing key analysis, connecting it with the bigger picture and sharing output with clients. You will also have the opportunity to coach more junior staff and interns.

FTI’s Healthcare practice is seeking a seasoned professional with prior management and hands‑on experience in the effective delivery of operational and financial process improvement. As a Director, you will leverage your consulting background and/or industry expertise to manage the daily activities of high‑performing, interdisciplinary teams to develop dynamic analytical, financial and operational solutions for our clients. You will partner with Managing Directors and Senior Managing Directors to manage projects and be accountable for project scope as well as coordinating multiple work streams to deliver a successful, timely outcome for our clients. You will interact and work primarily with senior management and teams, assessing, analyzing and leveraging operational and financial data to solve complex business issues for our clients.

What You’ll Do

Manage the day‑to‑day activities of projects including interaction with client C‑suites and FTI team members

Review, quality assure and quality control internal and client‑facing deliverables produced by junior staff to ensure a high‑quality work product

Communicate a high level of understanding of client’s industry, business, benchmarks and strategy

Interact with the Senior Managing Directors and Managing Directors in identifying the project goals, providing guidance to the project team, and preparing deliverables

Apply qualitative and quantitative skills to various engagements

Integrate information from a variety of sources to arrive at optimal solutions

Articulate our findings to the client and FTI Leadership to assist in strategic planning of ongoing engagements

Maintain detailed work paper records of assumptions, methodologies, and information sources employed during the performance of all analytical tasks

Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point to prepare analysis and client reports

Work with relational database programs (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Access, etc.), FTI tools and templates to assess and quantify the areas of analytic focus within the healthcare industry

Deliver a quality work product within an established time frame

Assist in the management of project budgets

Manage and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants and provide guidance to help grow the future of the company

Assist with and lead internal practice development activities as directed

What You Will Need To Succeed Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Informational Systems, Economics, or related field of study

5+ years of relevant post‑graduate experience

Ability to travel up to 80% to client locations and FTI Consulting offices

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in professional services consulting or health care operations management

Project management experience (Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Certification (PMP), or Agile Methodologies)

Experience understanding, reviewing, and interpreting complex Excel/SQL/Tableau/PowerBI Analyses

Experience converting relationships into sales efforts, creating sales collateral materials and converting them to sales

Experience writing/editing RFPs/LOEs
