About the Role

Step into a role where strategy meets influence. As Account Director, you’ll serve as a senior advisor to enterprise healthcare leaders, guiding integrated marketing initiatives that drive growth, retention, and long-term value.

You’ll own the performance and profitability of your accounts, lead high-performing internal teams, and shape strategic direction in partnership with executive leadership — all while delivering work that drives measurable business results.

What You’ll Do

Strategy & Account Leadership

Own a portfolio of enterprise healthcare accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and profitability

Serve as the senior strategic lead, guiding the development of data-driven marketing and brand strategies

Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships, including CEOs and senior leadership teams

Translate client business goals into clear strategic direction for internal teams

Oversee development and execution of integrated marketing plans, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with strategy

Monitor campaign performance, KPIs, ROI, and job profitability

Lead cross-functional account teams to deliver strategically rooted, creatively driven work that produces measurable growth

Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and expansion paths within existing engagements

Business Growth & Expansion

Partner with clients to identify strategic marketing opportunities and annual scope growth

Lead renewals and expansion conversations, driving increased engagement across services

Support new business development efforts, including RFP responses and proposal strategy

Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term agency growth initiatives

Identify resource needs and support recruitment to scale account management capacity

Team Leadership & Culture

Lead and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional account team

Provide coaching, feedback, and strategic guidance to account managers

Model Onspire’s core values in leadership, client interactions, and internal collaboration

Foster accountability, curiosity, and strategic thinking within the team

What You Bring

5–7+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, communications, strategy, or agency leadership

Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience

Strong background in integrated marketing strategy and KPI-driven performance management

Experience working directly with executive stakeholders in healthcare organizations

Deep understanding of brand positioning, digital marketing, and growth strategy within healthcare

Exceptional communication, executive presence, and relationship-building skills

Strategic thinker who can balance big-picture vision with operational execution

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in fast-paced environments

Willingness and ability to travel locally and nationally (up to 20%) to support client engagement and business development

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Compensation

This role offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary between $95,000 - $125,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Pay Range USD $95,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
