
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This critical role is designed for an experienced professional will actively evaluate and approve or decline credit requests for various lending units that exceed established signing authority. You will play a vital part in monitoring credit quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting lending officers in managing credit risk. Additionally, you will assist in developing skills in relationship managers, credit analysts, and colleagues involved in credit evaluation.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Assess and analyze credit requests over local authority, evaluating loan quality, credit risk classification, collateral analysis, and adherence to Bank policies, while making informed decisions on approvals or declines.
Review and enhance credit policies and procedures, ensuring all loans adhere to established standards.
Conduct periodic reviews of Relationship Managers' portfolios to ensure accurate loan classifications and monitor overall quality and trends.
Engage in evaluating criticized and classified credit situations, collaborating with relationship managers to formulate action plans for problem loans.
Participate in Loan Review and Compliance exit assessments, ensuring corrective actions are timely and effective to prevent issues from recurring.
Support adherence to all applicable regulations and compliance obligations.
Commit to bank programs such as CustomerFirst, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), and Affirmative Action.
Fully comply with risk management and operational policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
At least 7 years in banking.
A minimum of 15 years in commercial lending.
10 years of experience in a credit-focused environment.

Compensation
Competitive base salary ranging from $187,000 to $308,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses or commissions based on performance.
