
Program Director – Art Business Incubator. South Padre Island, TX | Full-Time
The Art Business Incubator – South Padre Island (ABI SPI) is seeking a full-time Program Director to lead our artist residency and working gallery. This role is ideal for a retail business professional with experience in management, operations, and marketing, along with a strong appreciation for the arts. Responsibilities:
Manage daily gallery and residency operations
Coordinate artist schedules, stipends, and onboarding
Lead artist business training, mentoring, and progress evaluation
Support art sales, customer experience, and gallery events
Oversee marketing, newsletters, and social media (with artist support)
Maintain alumni relationships and coordinate monthly events
Support fundraising efforts and community partnerships
Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational goals
Qualifications:
Prior retail business, operations, or program management experience required
Experience in the arts, creative industries, or small business development preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a public-facing environment
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually
