Responsibilities
Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast
Implement a strategic plan that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives to assist the sales staff in meeting and exceeding room booking goals
Organize meetings with department heads, report on sales activity for the previous and upcoming weeks, and produce a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenses
Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations
Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required
Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing
Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills
Prior experience in the hospitality field is a plus
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
