An experienced Account Director is needed to step in as an interim lead for the Strategy & Account Management team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role overseeing a team of approximately 5 full-time team members plus occasional support contractors, with a focus on social media and top-tier client service.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional client services leader with a strategic mindset across all facets of social media, a strong operational approach, and proven experience driving rapid, positive change within a team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Strategy & Account Management team of ~5 full-time employees, plus occasional contractors, ensuring day-to-day excellence and stability during the interim period.

Own and nurture priority client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor.

Provide strategic direction across all social media channels and disciplines, including:

Organic social media

Paid social media

Creative and content development

Content creation and storytelling

Influencer marketing

Analytics and performance insights

Drive scope ownership: ensure scopes of work are clearly defined, managed, and delivered on time and within agreed parameters.

Act as a strong operational leader, optimizing workflows, communication, and processes within the team.

Coach, mentor, and develop team members, providing clear feedback, guidance, and support, particularly as roles and responsibilities evolve.

Quickly diagnose team and account challenges and implement practical solutions that create measurable impact within a short timeframe.

Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and proactively address any issues that may arise during the transition period.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align strategy, execution, and client expectations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in an Account Director or similar senior client services role, ideally within a social media, digital, or integrated marketing environment.

Demonstrated success leading and managing teams, including coaching, performance management, and role development.

Strong strategic background in social media across organic, paid, creative, content, influencer marketing, and analytics.

Exceptional client service skills, with experience owning and growing key client relationships.

Operationally minded, with the ability to quickly assess and improve processes, workflows, and team structures.

Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment and driving meaningful change in a short time window.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
