Aquatics Director

The Aquatics Director is responsible for program development, staff hiring and supervision training, budget control, operational management and facility scheduling in the aquatics department in accordance with the philosophy of the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. Additionally, the incumbent will model the core values of the YMCA: Honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. This position will oversee the aquatics operations at the Rankin YMCA through Fall 2026 and will help open the exciting new Kupiec East Edmond YMCA. In addition, they will have responsibilities supporting all aquatics programs in conjunction with the District Aquatics Director. *Starting salary is $40,314 per year Must be PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid certified. (Training provided by the Y, if needed) Must be 21 years of age or older with at least two years of experience in supervising and scheduling staff. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in sports management, physical education or a related field. May have a degree in another field with at least three years' experience working in a recreational or sports setting. Current certifications in aquatics are required; YMCA certifications are preferred. Trainer level certifications will be acquired within two years of employment.
