About Southern Motors Southern Motors Acura is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Sales Manager to lead our sales team in Savannah, GA. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, fostering a high-energy team environment, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You will play a critical role in shaping our dealership’s success and achieving aggressive sales targets.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals.

Develop effective sales strategies and implement best practices.

Manage daily operations of the sales department, including staffing, training, and performance evaluations.

Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with other departments to support overall dealership objectives.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the management team to maintain optimal stock.

Analyze sales metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a General Sales Manager or similar sales leadership role, preferably within the automotive industry.

Strong leadership and team-building skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

Highly motivated with a results-driven approach.

Ability to analyze data and sales metrics to drive decision-making.

Knowledge of automotive sales and inventory management preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Competitive compensation ranging from $140,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year, paid bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, and manage a team of automotive salespeople

Coach salespeople on best practices for closing deals and provide guidance to improve sales performance

Set sales goals, track progress, and manage team to achieve and exceed those quotas

Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses

Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers

Describe all optional equipment/products available for customer purchase

Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles

Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards

Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals

Requirements

Previous dealership and management experience a huge plus

Leadership skills with a passion for training fellow employees

Enthusiasm with high energy throughout the sales workday

Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating pricing

Attention to detail and problem solving capabilities

Quality customer service, communication, computer and basic math skills

Clean driving record & valid driver’s license

Willing to submit to a drug screen prior to employment
