Job Description Are you driven by a passion for large-scale services and eager to collaborate with Oracle's most vital clients? We are on the lookout for an exceptional technical writer to create, refine, and enhance various security and technical assessment reports that articulate complex technical insights for diverse audiences. In this role, you will partner closely with security engineers, researchers, and compliance professionals to produce top-notch documentation—ensuring clarity, accuracy, and defensibility in our high-visibility security materials. Your reporting deliverables will include: Security assessment reports that convey technical findings and vulnerabilities uncovered from penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses.

System architecture and design documentation that details architecture, components, data flows, and security assurance properties of evaluated systems, highlighting security compliance and risk posture.

Compliance and attestation reports documenting adherence to security standards and frameworks, including thorough mappings of control implementations.

Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing internal documentation processes, templates, standards, and tools through collaboration with our broader team. Ensure consistency and quality across documentation utilized in audits, regulatory reviews, contractual obligations, and customer assurance engagements. What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, Technical Editor, Content Strategist, or similar role.

Familiarity with key security assessment frameworks and methodologies such as OWASP Top 10, NIST SP 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK, or Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408).

Experience with architectural documentation practices like data flow diagrams, control matrices, and system security plans (SSPs).

Proven experience writing security assessments or audit reports such as vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, risk assessments, and compliance reports.

Adept at translating technical security findings into accessible language suitable for executive, legal, and regulatory audiences.

Understanding of legal and regulatory considerations relevant to security reporting.

Strong discretion and judgement in determining appropriate information for various contexts and audiences.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with experience documenting complex engineering environments.

Ability to establish and adhere to content style and usage guidelines.

Exceptional drafting, copy editing, and proofreading abilities.

Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical thinking skills.

Team-oriented with excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable in agile, rapidly evolving software development settings.

Capable of working independently within a large, globally distributed software assurance organization.

Quick learner, able to master new technologies efficiently.

Experience with GRC aligned documentation, including risk registers, control narratives, evidence mappings, and assurance efforts.

Work You'll Do In this role, you will work independently or collaboratively in a team setting to draft, edit, and review diverse technical and security-focused reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency throughout. Key responsibilities will encompass: Tailoring reports and communications for various audiences, ensuring suitable language, detail, and tone. Collaborating closely with team members to translate intricate technical findings into actionable narratives for non-technical audiences. Working alongside security analysts, researchers, machine learning engineers, and subject matter experts to guarantee technical accuracy in reports. Enhancing processes, standards, and templates for technical document writing. Contributing to tooling and automation to aid security teams in documenting their technical work efficiently. Maintaining version control, documentation governance, and content lifecycle management for security deliverables. Range and benefit information provided here pertains to specified locations only. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $74,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
