Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination\nManage the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and movement of goods through various transportation channels\nCoordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods\nPrepare, process, submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork\nTrack and monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments\nManage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise\nCollaborate with internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery\nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws\nAll other duties as assigned\nQualifications

Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred\nExperience in ocean import and export is highly desirable\nAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nAttention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment\nKnowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations\nUnderstanding of trade laws and regulations\nFluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with logistics software and systems is preferred (e.g., CargoWise)\nEmployment and Conditions

Freight Forwarder Ocean Import\nA Freight Forwarder Ocean Import is responsible for managing the importation of goods by ocean, including all aspects of the logistics process such as customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking, and delivery to the final destination. This role involves coordinating with various parties including carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Duties and Responsibilities\nManage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination\nCoordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods\nTrack shipments and provide updates to customers as needed\nPrepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork\nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws\nManage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service

Educational background / Work experience\nPrior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred\nExperience in ocean imports is highly desirable

Skills & Competencies\nMathematical Skills\nAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
