Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Enterprise AI & Cloud Architect experienced in the higher education sector, particularly with R1 research institutions and their IT landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of how universities assess and embrace emerging technologies, especially in the realms of AI platforms, data-driven research processes, and hybrid computing architectures. You will translate these needs into robust solutions utilizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
This role is all about establishing credible relationships with CIOs, Research IT, campus HPC leaders, and Principal Investigators. You will directly connect our cloud capabilities to the real-world challenges in scaling AI research, enhancing on-premises clusters, and ensuring the secure and compliant adoption of AI technologies across educational institutions.
Responsibilities
Engage with strategic customers and develop leadership relationships at various organizational levels to design and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate closely with clients to gather requirements, develop tailored architectures, and convert business needs into efficient solutions.
May implement solutions and manage successful deployments through coding and scripting.
Showcase product knowledge through customized presentations, demonstrations at events, and conferences.
Support customers from the Proof of Concept (POC) stage to full production deployment including resource configuration, planning, and client education/training.
Create and share technical resources such as white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video tutorials.
Be a key resource for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and client success.
Identify gaps and enhancements to inform engineering roadmaps for customer-driven features.
Serve as a leading contributor, providing direction and mentorship to peers.
Maintain expertise by staying current on emerging technologies and industry trends.

This role offers an annual salary range of $113,100 to $185,100, with potential for equity and a commission structure (70/30 pay mix). Oracle provides competitive salaries based on various factors including experience, market conditions, and internal equity.
