Job Description Duration: 1 year
As a Voice User Interface Designer you will be responsible for Speech Voice User Interface (VUI) design & documentation. May be asked to assist with speech application tuning and prompt scripting. Plus for technical writer, GVP, and/or multi-lingual (English & Spanish) experience.
Skills/Experience Required
Speech VUI design and documentation. Interactive Voice Response (IVR) application requirements discovery/documentation with experience in Speech Recognition design.
Must have excellent skills in Visio, Excel, and Word.
Significant organization skills and ability to store and recall large volumes of information.
Other Skills/Job Responsibilities
Expert knowledge of usability principles for speech recognition-based IVR.
Candidate will be joining existing team, and be responsible to follow an existing, agreed-upon process for requirements discovery and documentation, followed by speech VUI design, using an already-defined format.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
Quickly learn and demonstrate knowledge of the client business/industry and knowledge of Professional Services offering.
Previous consulting experience or experience in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Extensive documentation updates will be required therefore the candidate must be able to remember and recall semantic and factual information.
Strong communication skills to accurately represent and convey information both in verbal and written form.
Ability to manage competing and conflicting priorities.
Other Requirements/Notes
Prompt scripting for speech recognition applications and technical writing desirable.
Availability to work overtime.
Ability to travel as necessary (~25%).
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Able to work autonomously and as part of a work team.
Able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of GVP, transcription, and/or multi-lingual (English & Spanish) experience a plus.
