
Global Medical Affairs Lead Computational Pathology CDx

The Position
Join an experienced and collaborative team of dedicated Global Medical Affairs Leaders in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs (CDMA) at Roche Diagnostics. Work with Personalized Healthcare Solutions Lifecycle team on the development and commercialization of AI-powered tissue-based computational pathology companion diagnostics (CDx). This is an opportunity to leverage scientific expertise and leadership to advance cancer diagnostics and improve patient outcomes globally. Provide scientific expertise in oncology tissue-based in vitro diagnostics and AI-powered computational pathology applications, and lead the development of strategic global medical plans, execute medical engagements, generate evidence and insights, support research collaborations, advisory boards, independent or sponsored medical education, testing access and medical launch readiness programs. Build strong partnerships with medical communities, global thought leaders, investigators, academic networks, professional societies, affiliates and pharma partners to enable impactful collaborations that support safe adoption of medical value solutions while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry regulations and healthcare provider interaction guidelines. Develop medical content for timely and effective communication of science and clinical data within and outside the organization in training or educational programs, publications and congress presentations. Champion patient- and customer-centricity by always putting the needs of patients and customers first. Work autonomously, coach colleagues with less experience, and partner across functions and time zones to create an environment of belonging and identify mutual value and opportunities for collaboration. You have an MD and/or PhD in Anatomic Pathology, Oncology Translational Medicine or related disciplines. You have knowledge or experience with immunohistochemistry and AI-powered computational pathology applications. You have 10+ years of relevant experience in the Pharma and/or Diagnostics industry that include designing, implementing and reporting analytical and clinical studies for companion diagnostics. You have strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop medical education resources, translate complex scientific concepts, and communicate and simplify intricate medical information for diverse internal and external audiences including diagnostic lab professionals, healthcare providers, policymakers and payers. You are proactive and self-directed with a track record of leading in a global cross-cultural matrix, systems thinking, and adaptability to perform in a complex and rapidly evolving environment. You have a deep understanding of legal and regulatory considerations impacting the healthcare, biopharma and diagnostics industry. You are willing to travel up to 20% nationally or internationally. The primary location for this position is Tucson, Arizona, USA (preferred). We will consider US remote candidates. Relocation benefits arenor this position The expected salary range for this position is based on the primary location in Tucson, AZ: 182,200-338,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
