
We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated
Multifamily Asset Management Analyst
to join our growing Dallas-based team. This is a high-visibility opportunity to support portfolio strategy and investment execution across an institutionally owned multifamily platform.
The ideal candidate brings experience analyzing assets in large, sophisticated urban markets such as New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, or Atlanta and understands the scale, complexity, and pace of major metropolitan multifamily environments. You will play a critical role supporting asset management, acquisitions, and executive leadership through rigorous financial analysis, underwriting, and performance evaluation.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, intellectually curious finance professional eager to deepen institutional multifamily expertise and grow into a senior investment or asset management position.
Key Responsibilities Investment & Underwriting Support
Build and maintain detailed financial models for acquisitions, refinancings, dispositions, and development projects
Perform cash flow analysis, sensitivity modeling, and return metrics analysis (IRR, NPV, equity multiples)
Validate underwriting assumptions including market rents, expense projections, and capital plans
Assist in preparing investment committee memos and executive-level reporting materials
Support due diligence processes for acquisitions and capital events
Asset Management & Portfolio Analytics
Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly portfolio performance roll-ups
Consolidate and analyze property-level KPIs including occupancy, leasing velocity, loss-to-lease, concessions, delinquency, and collections
Conduct detailed variance analysis comparing actuals to budget, prior year, and underwriting assumptions
Maintain portfolio dashboards and executive reporting packages
Support quarterly performance reporting and business plan execution
Assist with annual operating and capital budget preparation
Track capital projects and analyze performance against projections
Market & Operational Analysis
Conduct market research, rent comparable analysis, and competitive intelligence
Maintain occupancy tracking and market surveys
Shop comparable properties and monitor development pipeline activity in key markets
Extract and analyze data from property management systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and RealPage
Partner cross-functionally with asset management, property operations, and capital markets teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or related field
1–4 years of experience in multifamily real estate finance, asset management, acquisitions, investment banking, institutional underwriting, or related field
Direct experience analyzing assets in large urban markets (NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, or comparable) strongly preferred
Advanced Excel financial modeling skills required (Argus experience a plus)
Strong understanding of multifamily operating fundamentals and capital structures
Experience with Power BI a plus
Experience with property management platforms (Yardi, Entrata, RealPage) preferred
Multifamily institutional, private equity, REIT, or large-scale operations experience is highly valued
Ability to travel periodically for site visits as needed
