
Our client is an established global logistics partner (3PL) offering customized solutions for complex logistics challenges. They are actively hiring a full-time Customs Entry Writer on-site in Secaucus, NJ.
As a Customs Entry Writer you will work in a brokerage team of 7 people, under supervision of the Licensed CHB.
Role Description: You will handle customs documentation, ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments, and manage compliance with import and export regulations.
Key responsibilities include: Verifying shipment details & import documents Apply correct HS codes if necessary Prepare entries in CargoWise and follow up with the import team. No billing necessary Maintaining communication with clients and customs authorities Ensuring documentation accuracy Assisting with any customs-related inquiries or issues.
Commodity knowledge: Specific knowledge in wearing apparel and food products clearances
Qualifications: Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Customs brokerage department Experience with customs documentation, entry filing, and compliance with import/export regulations Strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and organizational skills Proficiency in logistics platforms and relevant technologies; familiarity with Neolink is a plus Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in a fast-paced industry Knowledge of applicable government regulations and import/export compliance is beneficial Knowledge of CargoWise is preferred (but not essential) as the Company will train you if needed
The base salary is DOE + Medical Insurance + 401K
