Conduct Correctional Officer Skills Enhancement Program (COSEP) Training, standardized performance evaluations and observation reports on all uniform new hires on all shifts.
Monitor, evaluate, and track new hires' progress through the COSEP program.
Consult with the Training Academy and Institutional Management Team regarding new hires, make recommendations, and submit reports to appropriate staff.
Resource manager weekly to coordinate intake needs and concerns.
Provide COSEP training for permanent employees, as identified and needed.
Participate in meetings/training and community relations/recruiting activities, as needed.

Position located at Lieber Correctional Institution.
Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant experience. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and three (3) years of experience in correctional, security, military, or police work to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.
A degree in criminal justice or a related degree may substitute for supervisory experience year for year (associate and above = 1 year).
Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
