Presales Solutions Architect — Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid/On-site)

Full-time (Hybrid — office presence in Alpharetta expected for client workshops and key team events)

Role summary:

We’re looking for an experienced

Presales Solutions Architect

to lead technical solution design and presales engagements for enterprise customers. You’ll translate business objectives into secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures, own the technical narrative in proposals and RFP responses, and partner with sales and delivery teams to build winning, executable solutions. This is a high-visibility role that requires strong customer-facing skills, deep multi-cloud expertise, and the ability to drive technical strategy across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead presales technical engagements: technical discovery, solution design, RFP/RFI responses, proposals, architecture diagrams, and client presentations.

Partner with executive leadership and account teams to align technology roadmaps with client business goals and pursue strategic opportunities.

Design and validate scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP (multi-cloud patterns, landing zones, infra as code).

Create end-to-end solution blueprints that cover integration (CRM/ERP/APIs), data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, CDP), identity & access, security, and observability.

Lead technical workshops, PoC scoping, and technical due diligence with clients and partners.

Draft solution-level cost estimates, TCO/ROI analyses, and migration/implementation approaches to support commercial proposals.

Collaborate with delivery, engineering, data science, and security teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical, measurable, and operationalizable.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, cloud engineers, and presales specialists.

Establish governance, KPIs, and success criteria for solutions; track delivery readiness and risk mitigation.

Identify opportunities to embed automation and AI/ML capabilities into client solutions and include these in presales artifacts.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud services, vendor capabilities, and market trends to continuously improve offering portfolios.

Required experience & skills

14+ years of experience across solution architecture, cloud engineering, presales, and technical leadership in enterprise environments.

Demonstrated multi-cloud expertise (Azure, AWS, GCP) with hands-on architecture and implementation experience.

Strong presales track record: proposal ownership, RFP responses, client demos, and technical negotiation.

Deep understanding of cloud security, identity, governance, networking, cost optimization, and scalability patterns.

Experience with data platforms and integrations (ETL/streaming, data lakes/warehouses, CDP/DMP, APIs).

Solid background in digital transformation programs and cloud migration strategies (lift/shift, replatform, refactor).

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to influence C-level and technical audiences.

Familiar with agile delivery practices, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).

Proven ability to produce architecture diagrams, solution documentation, and commercial estimations.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Preferred / Nice-to-have

Experience leading or scoping AI/ML/Generative AI POCs and integrating Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, or similar into enterprise architectures.

Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.

Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).

Prior background in enterprise sales enablement or leading large presales teams.

Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., LGPD/GDPR), and compliance requirements.

Track record of measurable outcomes (reduced time-to-market, cost savings, uplift in operational metrics).
