Role Summary The Specialist is responsible for formulating customer product and identifying and developing process improvements.

This position reports to the Process Owner of Commercial and Regulated Products and is part of the Commercial and Regulated Products Value Stream, located in Coralville, IA, and will be an on‑site role.

Key Responsibilities

Make independent decisions regarding a product's path, organizing workflow with customer requirements in mind while performing all responsibilities of technicians I-III, and initiating nonconformance reviews/process deviations/software requests when necessary.

Interpret QC results, troubleshoot and correct issues that may arise, using SOPs to make decisions regarding proper production path and updating/creating additional documents when necessary.

Collaborate with other critical departments, keeping logs and necessary documentation while communicating with the team and management regarding quality or potential improvements and changes to work instructions/SOPs.

Essential Requirements

Associate degree in a science related field and at least two years of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to critically analyze QC data and use it to make thoughtful routing and product disposition decisions required.

Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

Life Science or synthetic biology work experience.

Ability to perform and transition through a variety of tasks with concurrent deadlines daily with urgency and efficiency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
