
Entry Level Graphic Designer / Production Artist

We are seeking a detail-oriented entry levelGraphic Designer/Production Artist with strong technical skills to support our creative and production teams. This role focuses on both graphic design, production art and prepress responsibilities, ensuring all artwork is production-ready, accurate, and aligned with project requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced print environment.
Key Responsibilities Graphic Design
Assist in the creation, layout, and refinement of print design assets.
Update existing artwork, templates, and layouts as needed.
Use supplied assets to create alternate layouts and concepts
Collaborate with other team members to execute design direction.
Basic understanding of typography and brand guidelines.
Preflight & Prepress
Preflight incoming client files to verify correct formatting, resolution, color profiles, fonts, and overall print readiness.
Prepare final production files according to press specifications and internal standards.
Make necessary corrections to files, including bleed adjustments, image corrections, color conversions, and font handling.
Output proofs, mockups, and press-ready PDFs for internal review and client approval.
Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth and accurate handoff of all print assets.
Qualifications
Candidates are required to provide a portfolio demonstrating their design abilities and technical proficiency.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred.
0–2 years of experience in a design or print-production environment (internship experience welcome).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required).
Strong understanding of print fundamentals including bleeds, trim, CMYK, spot colors, and file setup.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the role.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience with any of the following - large-format printing/signage, offset printing, digital printing.
Familiarity with RIP software, imposition, or color management tools.
Knowledge of variable data printing (VDP).
