We are currently looking for a Parts Counterperson to join our dynamic team and help support our customers and technicians with their automotive parts needs.
Job Summary The Parts Counterperson will be responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in locating and purchasing automotive parts. This position requires excellent customer service skills, a strong knowledge of automotive components, and the ability to manage inventory efficiently. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in the parts department with their automotive parts inquiries.
Provide accurate information regarding parts availability, pricing, and specifications.
Utilize electronic parts catalogs and online resources to identify and locate necessary parts.
Process customer orders, sales transactions, and returns efficiently and accurately.
Maintain and manage parts inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing parts.
Work closely with service technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly.
Keep the parts counter and surrounding areas tidy and organized.
Stay updated on new products and advancements in automotive technology.
Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; automotive knowledge or experience preferred.
Previous experience in a parts department or automotive environment is a plus.
Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use parts software and inventory management systems.
Knowledge of automotive parts and systems is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
