
Job Summary
Sales Executive for Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build the AWS Cloud Computing business for the United States Air Force (USAF). The role involves engaging with key Defense customers, systems integrators, and solutions providers to help modernize and transform enterprise and mission systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a growing book of business within the USAF as part of a USAF sales team.
Drive business and technical relationships and close deals at a rapid rate by identifying and pursuing key opportunities.
Establish deep business and technical relationships through knowledge of the customer’s mission and environment.
Interact daily with customers, senior military and civilian leaders, staff officers, contracting officials, software developers, and architects.
Think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, and build compelling value propositions.
Lead cross‑functional teams of Technical, Delivery, and Specialists on complex, strategic sales pursuits.
Travel as necessary.
Qualifications
10+ years of IT quota‑carrying sales experience.
7+ years selling to the USAF.
10+ years of experience meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
7+ years working with Federal Systems Integrators and Business Partners supporting the USAF and DoD.
5+ years of cloud computing fundamentals with the ability to differentiate between providers.
Active Top Secret or higher US federal security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles and functional/technical depth requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and/or Computer Science, Math background.
5+ years managing direct product contracts.
5+ years experience in software development and cloud computing industry.
Security & Citizenship Must be a US citizen and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

Compensation & Benefits Base salary ranges from $142,800 to $193,200 USD annually (Arlington, VA; Herndon, VA). The package includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units, sales incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, PTO, and parental leave.
Location Arlington, VA and Herndon, VA.
