
Account Executive, Group Sales

Summary
The Account Executive (AE), Group Sales actively sources and builds relationships with current and prospective Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits fans. Group Sales AEs will be trained to identify the needs of customers and provide recommendations for ideal game and event experiences at KeyBank Center. AEs will sell tickets for all events, handle customer service inquiries, and provide outstanding customer service for all patrons.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sell group ticket packages, full season ticket memberships, partial plans, and single game suites
Build relationships with group leaders to customize experiences and drive repeat business
Execute fan experiences such as Sabres Access, Highmark Intermission, and Photos at Center Ice
Meet and/or exceed annual sales goals as provided by Ticket Sales & Service Leadership
Prospect and source potential clients in the Greater Buffalo Area
Make a minimum of 50 outbound phone calls per day
Proactively identify new leads through referrals, networking, and prospecting businesses
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all current client and prospects within CRM system
Provide excellent customer service to prospects and current clients at all times
Active involvement in the community to continually build sales pipeline
Respond to incoming phone calls to be sure they are answered quickly and efficiently
Handle problems during events and solve problems to customer’s satisfaction
Maintain a functional and organized workspace
Maintain a level of knowledge of programs and events to adequately assist customers
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications for the Position
Minimum of 1-3 years of sports sales experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel). Experience with Ticketmaster, Archtics, KORE CRM system(s), a plus.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compensation The base hourly rate for this role is $16.83. Account Executive, Group Sales will earn 3% commission on new sales and may receive a cumulative revenue bonus upon hitting net sales targets.
