Job Summary Performs specialized work in the area of recreation and leisure services. Responsible for performing activities of average difficulty at an assigned recreation area. Under general supervision, performs tasks that include leading, supervising, and officiating at a variety of sports, games, and programs. Assists in administrative procedures involved in the design and conduct of recreation programs. May be responsible for a City of Orlando-wide program and may work out of several centers of different levels. Exercises some initiative and independent judgment in planning and conducting playground or center activities for all ages. Work is reviewed through periodic observation by a Center Manager while in progress and through reports submitted. Some work is performed outdoors, and the employee is exposed to weather conditions, including heat. Required to work at night and on weekends.

Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and one (1) year of experience in organized recreation or leisure services

required ; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License

Degree Equivalency

Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;

Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;

Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree;

Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
