About Legacy Property Management Legacy Property Management is a growing property management company based in Portland, Oregon. We take pride in delivering excellent service to residents and property owners while maintaining high standards across our communities. We are looking for a motivated, personable Leasing Agent to help drive occupancy, support residents, and represent our properties with professionalism and energy.
Position Summary As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for assisting prospective residents through the leasing process, conducting property tours, processing rental applications, and helping maintain strong resident satisfaction. This is a customer focused role that requires strong communication, organization, and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities
Greet prospective residents and provide tours of available units
Respond to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and online platforms
Build rapport with prospects and follow up consistently to drive lease conversions
Process rental applications and coordinate background and credit screeningsPrepare lease agreements and assist with move in documentation
Maintain accurate leasing records and update property management software
Coordinate with maintenance and property managers to ensure units are ready for showing
Support resident retention efforts and help address resident questions or concerns
Assist with marketing efforts including online listings, signage, and social media promotions
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous leasing, sales, customer service, or property management experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable with phone calls, follow up, and sales conversations
Organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management software
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties if needed
Tuesday through Saturday work week
Clean Driving Record
Preferred Skills
Experience with Fair Housing compliance
Familiarity with Portland area rental market
Experience using property management systems such as AppFolio, Yardi, or similar platforms
Compensation and Benefits
