Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium oder gleichwertiger Abschluss, idealerweise in einem relevanten Ingenieur- oder Naturwissenschaftsfach

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field

Deep expertise in specialty chemicals, preferably in industrial coatings or specialty resins.

A proven track record as an accomplished sales executive developing and implementing strategies for ambitious market growth within Europe.

Demonstrated success achieving on ambitious sales objectives.

Be practiced in best in class, value-add, solutions selling as well as with related business principles and practices. Expertise in highly technical environments.

Possess strong self-initiative with an innate ability to set priorities and then deliver on those priorities - sense of urgency.

Experience profiling and targeting customers and developing contacts as well as experience developing and managing internal and external customer relationships. Be absolutely capable leveraging networking and relationships to achieve sales targets.

Be able to communicate assertively, effectively, and credibly across all levels of the organization. Be comfortable presenting information to a variety of audiences.

Possess strength of character to proactively intervene when critical information is lacking in order to ensure plant objectives are met.

Prior experience operating effectively within entrepreneurial environments within multi-national organizations.

Fluency in English and German

Proficiency with MF Office applications and, preferably with Salesforce.com

Travel Requirements: 60%

Customer Identification / Acquisition

Manage SW's relationship with assigned Strategic customer(s) and their subcontractors in order to achieve SW's commercial objectives. This includes developing and executing formal account plans including strategies for share growth of both the OEM facilities as well as the subcontractors supplying painted parts. Focus is the EMEAI region.

Together with the regional sales organizations, identify and prioritize a pipeline of new business across all technologies that delivers on our financial objectives over the planning period.

Drive the sales activities to successful conclusion in a timely manner. This will include both personal ownership of some key opportunities and support to the regional sales teams that are in the lead position for other opportunities. Ensure the commercial relationship and business activities are well coordinated for the assigned strategic accounts throughout the EMEAI region, with clear ownership assigned to each key OEM location. Together with segment and product management, drive specification and approval of Sherwin-Williams products in order to enable sales execution.

Lead the development of proposals and presentations and, when appropriate, lead the contract negotiation and execution process for these strategic customers.

Lead the regional business development representatives in the execution of the sales activities necessary to capitalize on the customer pipeline.

Prepare value propositions and be an advocate for selling value at the strategic account.

Support refinement of business & marketing strategy through investigation and communication of market trends in collaboration with marketing.

Provide competitive intelligence and positioning guidance

Be actively involved in industry association, trade shows, and customer specific "supplier day" events

With marketing, drive product and industry knowledge across the sales teams to improve our call effectiveness at the "boots on the ground" level.

Collaborate globally with other strategic account managers and global marketing teams as necessary to accomplish the account plan.

Make sure the global Account is actively managed in other regions than EMEAI. Ensure alignment with other regional customer initiatives by SW global approach.

Ensure other customer support (not main account) is well coordinated and gets sufficient support. This needs good coordination and best time allocation and priority settings.

Product return authority with Sr Business Director

Ensure overall customer satisfaction and that all global accounts feel they each get enough attention.

Allocate technical service support in accordance with time management of it.
