The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, with a strong focus on content creation and understanding the voice of the customer (VOC). This role requires close collaboration with business segment leaders, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather insights; develop compelling marketing materials; and ensure GTM plans are aligned with business targets for revenue and growth. The Marketing Manager will create strategies for tradeshows, websites; sales training; and new product commercialization -- including definition of GTM approach; content design and value proposition articulation and presentation. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to conduct effective interviews, and participation in executive strategy meetings. This position requires a solid partnership with the Global Marketing Project Manager.

Responsibilities Responsibilities Include:

Marketing Strategy & Planning

Marketing Strategy Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for that impactfully and effectively communicate the Duke YSP value proposition to customers and empower sales and channel partners to effectively generate and convert new business opportunities.

Includes strategy and planning for sales training and collateral (primary) as well as tradeshows ; websites; email and digital communications

New Product Launch:

In collaboration with Product Management, elaborate understanding of customer pain points; clearly position Duke's unique value proposition in proposals and other marketing materials; define customer incentive programs; and design effective GTM strategies and plans to achieve revenue goals from new products.

Brand Strategy:

own and manage the definition and articulation of Duke's Brand value and assets.

Marketing Execution:

Content Creation:

Design the structure and provide copy for marketing materials, including website content, brochures, presentations, and tradeshow materials.

Voice of Customer (VOC) Research:

Facilitate the design and execution of market and customer research with business segment leaders, sales teams, and customers to gather insights and understand their needs and preferences.

Market Research:

Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends, and to inform marketing strategy development.

Tradeshow:

Develop the overall strategy for tradeshow participation, including booth design, messaging, and lead generation activities. Collaborate with the Global Marketing Project Manager on logistics and execution.

Leadership and Development:

Coach, develop, and staff

the Marketing team resources ensuring the capacity and capabilities align with Duke and customer needs. Includes management of direct and dotted line resources, domestic and international.

Collaboration with Sales and Business Segment Leaders:

Work closely with sales teams and business segment leaders to gather information, understand market trends, align business objectives and define sales needs.

Stakeholder Management:

Provide regular updates on marketing plans and progress, and solicit input on priorities from sales, product and other internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

10 years professional experience with 5+ years of experience in marketing - preferably in B2B or industrial/manufacturing sectors.

Experience developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, content creation, and customer research.

Previous experience working closely with sales teams, product management, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Tradeshow marketing experience, including event planning, messaging, and lead generation strategies, is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

Holistic commercial approach and ability to develop marketing plans that align with business goals.

Excellent writing and content development skills, with experience creating marketing materials, website content, and sales collateral.

Ability to conduct market research and translate customer insights into effective marketing strategies.

Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with sales teams, business segment leaders, and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Detail-oriented with a creative mindset and the ability to develop compelling value propositions.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
