Overview The Senior/Head Designer will spearhead the design direction for dresses and sportswear across a brand known for modern, clean‑lined, trend‑right silhouettes. This leader will shape collections that are versatile, polished, and aligned with the brand’s minimalist‑meets‑feminine DNA.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full design lifecycle for dresses and sportswear—from trend research through final prototype approval.
Define seasonal mood, key items, silhouettes, and fabric direction in partnership with the Creative Director.
Oversee Associate and Technical Designers to ensure cohesive execution, impeccable fit, and brand consistency.
Develop innovative yet approachable constructions, trims, and design details in line with the brand’s contemporary aesthetic.
Use AI‑based tools for trend mapping, design iteration, and digital sampling to support innovation and speed‑to‑market.
Lead fittings and resolve construction challenges collaboratively with the tech team.
Present seasonal collections to leadership and cross‑functional teams, clearly articulating design rationale and strategy.
Stay informed on consumer trends, social analytics, and competitive landscape to guide the product strategy.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in contemporary women’s ready‑to‑wear, ideally within minimalist or modern brands.
Strong technical knowledge of garment construction and fit.
Demonstrated success balancing trend‑forward design with commercial appeal.
Fluency in Adobe programs; familiarity with AI‑related design software highly valued.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional partnership skills.
Salary $120,000‑$130,000
