
Marketing Technology & Data Analytics Specialist

Cohen & Gresser (“C&G”) seeks an experienced Marketing Technology professional to join our BD & Marketing (“BDM”) Department. This position will own, develop, streamline, maintain, and execute on our digital marketing operations. We are a fast‑growing, elite law firm in the midst of transforming our business development efforts and are looking for a MarTech professional with at least four years of experience deploying and managing marketing and BD software, user experience, and data management needs for a professional services firm. The technology stack required in this role is broad, including extensive database development and tools, CRM and campaign tools, online content management tools, email automation tools, research and database systems, multimedia production, online analytics, and data visualization and interpretation. This position will report directly to the CMBDO and will collaborate frequently with other senior members of the BDM department, the firm’s IT team, management leaders, attorneys, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): BDM systems leadership Remain at forefront of new and emerging marketing and BD technology tools
Conduct initial and ongoing needs analyses within the BDM department and the firm
Continuous evaluation of marketing and BD software options and upgrades
Development of marketing tech and systems workflows and best practices
Oversee the extensive capture, accuracy, hygiene, and reporting of all marketing and BD data, including internal and external information sources
Ensure ongoing data protection compliance (US and abroad)
Strategically explore new use cases and methods to leverage our BDM data
Manage relationships, SOWs, contracts, and negotiations with MTS vendors
Manage outsourced, contract, and temp teams of data entry and related staffing
Oversee and lead the implementation and integration of existing and new BDM technology systems
Oversee project‑specific as well as ongoing updates of data models, mapping, and all other aspects of BDM systems integration with internal and external sources of data
Develop and lead launch strategy and tactics, roll‑outs, training, and BDM help desk
Oversee ongoing maintenance of all BDM tools
Make recommendations for and oversee system improvements, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Communicate proactively and clearly with all stakeholders on MTS projects
Multimedia production Tactical planning and hands‑on production at all stages for various multimedia technologies, including:
Podcast and video planning, set‑up, pre‑ and post‑production; management of related transcripts and content; emceeing of shows; interactive audience engagement (including Q&A, live polling, etc.)
Webinars of varying sizes, audiences, and formats
Large virtual conferences and related materials, interactivity, and audience management
Audio‑visual needs at external conferences and firm‑based BDM events
Immersive and experiential tools, including novel and emerging uses of technology for communicating and building relationships with clients and broader target audiences of the firm.
BDM‑wide data management and integrity Responsible for extracting and producing accurate data and reports to internal and external stakeholders
Maintaining excellent tracking and management of BDM content, including pitch materials and outcomes
Capturing, troubleshooting, organizing, and managing all BDM data assets, including image files (internally produced or externally acquired)
Day‑to‑day, hands‑on tactical involvement Responsible for the daily oversight and implementation of all BDM tasks, including the collection, entry and quality of data and documenting best practices for each workflow and tool
Must understand all aspects of each BDM tool to be able to fully handle all tasks whenever needed, provide troubleshooting, and ascertain needed improvements and immediate workarounds
Stay ahead of potential issues regarding BDM technology tools and BDM data access, accuracy, and freshness
Maintains and regularly cleans/updates CRM system.
Collaborates with brand & comms and MBDs to ensure proper coding of campaigns is in system.
Drives execution and reporting of all email campaign efforts. (List creation and maintenance, tracking, etc.)
Provides monthly reporting to marketing leadership on campaign efforts, marketing sources for opportunities, and pipeline.
Provides monthly origination and Win/Loss/Open pursuit and pipeline reporting.
Compile and provide reporting and analysis on: competition, trends analysis and market assessments
Industry, client and prospect research
Assist practice MBDs on development of target lists.
Ad hoc projects as appropriate and required
Qualifications and Desired Skills 4+ years of related experience in a professional services environment
Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year accredited college or university
Excellent project management skills and organizational ability
Experience in branding, digital content development, digital marketing and advertising strategy and execution
CMS system knowledge a plus
Experienced in MS Dynamics and HubSpot
High competency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Interpersonal Skills Intellectually curious self‑starter
Outstanding client service orientation and listening skills
Ability to work independently without direct guidance on recurring assigned tasks
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize projects with little direction
Strong work ethic and able to work against deadlines
Comfortable and confident in interacting with firm leadership and attorneys
Able to represent the department and the firm in a professional and positive manner
This position is based in our New York office with a current hybrid schedule of 3 days in‑office, 2 days working remotely. This is an exempt position with an expected salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.
