
JOB SUMMARY
Plans, implements and evaluates marketing and communications initiatives for King’s Daughters Service Lines, physician practices and locations. Mentors team members. Supports Department Director and System Leadership in achieving Health System goals and objectives.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
Working in collaboration with service line leaders, practice managers, liaisons and leadership, develops marketing plans to achieve service line and system goals and objectives.
Working collaboratively with other members of the Department, or independently as indicated, implements marketing plans using available resources. Adjusts plans concurrent with implementation to achieve goals and objectives. Conducts post-action review of marketing efforts to support continual improvement in efforts.
Provides advice and consultation to others in the department in the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing plans and projects.
Working alone or in collaboration with others, writes and manages production of publications,
Working alone or in collaboration with others, writes content for and manages KingsDaughtersHealth.com. Assists with internal communication efforts, including TeamKDHS.com.
Manages departmental budget.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, or communications.
Five to 10 years of experience in healthcare marketing.
Creative, innovative and adaptable.
Strong communication (written, oral, visual) skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet short- and long-term deadlines.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's Degree in PR, Journalism, Marketing or Communications.
Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS).
Ability to manage and understand data and develop plans based on same.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Works indoors in an office/clinic setting
The noise level is usually moderate
Occasional travel to offsite locations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Constantly required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer.
Frequently required to move about inside the department.
Constantly required to communicate telephonically and face to face with colleagues and customers.
Constantly required to operate a computer and telephone.
Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
