Local candidate to Cupertino, CA. Strong Public Relations experience specifically. Experience in media briefings, interviews, and PR-driven events.
Summary We are seeking a strategic, creative, and highly experienced Senior Public Relations Manager to support the Corporate Communications team in an interim capacity. This role will help shape and execute a communications strategy that clearly and effectively communicates the organization’s values and positioning externally.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong media relationships, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to manage complex topics in a fast-moving news environment. This person will bring strong storytelling, sound judgment, and attention to detail to drive meaningful engagement and impactful media coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute PR and communications strategy aligned with organizational priorities
Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders
Develop high-quality press materials, messaging, and strategic story opportunities
Partner cross-functionally to align messaging across business and communications initiatives
Manage sensitive or complex issues in a fast-paced news cycle
Support media briefings, interviews, and communications events
Translate complex topics into clear, compelling external communications
Proactively identify PR opportunities that generate meaningful media coverage
Monitor news, consumer technology trends, and cultural landscape to inform positioning
Requirements (Experience + Execution)
10+ years of
Public Relations, Corporate Communications , or related experience
Strong
media relationships, exceptional writing skills
Proven ability to
develop and execute PR strategy
that drives measurable media impact
Strong media relations experience, including
building press relationships and securing coverage
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, including
press materials, messaging, and executive communications
Demonstrated experience
managing complex or sensitive communications issues
in a fast-moving environment
Experience
partnering cross-functionally
to align communications and business messaging
Ability to
translate complex topics into clear, effective external communications
Experience supporting
media briefings, interviews, and PR-driven events
Passion for consumer technology and awareness of industry/media trends
Self-motivated, creative, and comfortable operating autonomously
