We're seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed Business Development Specialist to join our team. This role is focused on creating new sales opportunities and driving them to success. The ideal candidate is a service-oriented team player who can manage multiple priorities and deadlines and has excellent problem-solving skills.

Location: Wilmington, DE (relocation support is not available) Travel: Up to 3 days per week Hybrid: 4 days in the office if not traveling Responsibilities

Aggressively prospect and penetrate new accounts through targeted outbound outreach, cold calling, and proactive lead generation

Engage prospective customers to uncover unmet needs and position Tedlar® solutions accordingly

Drive rapid qualification of new opportunities by uncovering customer pain points, decision criteria, and buying timelines

Relentlessly advance early‑stage opportunities toward conversion, maintaining momentum through persistent follow‑up and engagement

Research and target new markets, applications, and customer segments aligned with Tedlar® growth priorities

Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities from initial contact through qualification

Initiate first‑contact discussions with new customers via email, phone, and virtual or in‑person meetings

Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to develop compelling value propositions for new prospects

Support preparation of proposals, samples, and technical information required to advance new opportunities

Track and document new business leads, interactions, and opportunity progress in CRM systems

Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify potential new business opportunities

Qualify opportunities based on strategic fit, technical feasibility, and commercial potential

Drive timely follow‑up with prospects to maintain momentum and advance opportunities

Support the handoff of successfully converted opportunities to the Sales Team for ongoing account ownership

Job Qualifications

4-year degree in sales, business, or related field

3-5 years’ experience in sales, preferably focused on new customer acquisition

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
