Our client is seeking an Interior Designer to join their New York City studio. This is a dynamic, hands-on position supporting the development and execution of high-level interior design projects. The role offers a balanced mix of creative, technical, and administrative responsibilities, providing the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the continued growth of an AD100-recognized firm.
The ideal candidate brings a strong design sensibility, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to contribute across all phases of the design process. This individual will collaborate closely with the Design Director and Principal while leading multiple projects or project phases from initial concept through final installation.
Responsibilities include developing and presenting design concepts, imagery, mood boards, and material palettes, producing furniture plans, elevations, and detailed drawings in AutoCAD, and preparing and leading client presentations. The role also involves direct communication with clients, contractors, and consultants, conducting site visits and field measurements, overseeing installations, and assisting with FF&E procurement, scheduling, and tracking.
Experience with hand drafting, sketching, or 3D modeling is essential, along with the ability to manage projects efficiently from concept to completion.
Candidates should have a minimum of four years of experience in the high-end residential industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite & SketchUp is required.
