Rule ISD Athletic Director / Head Coach Opening Location: Rule Independent School District – Rule, Texas Position: Athletic Director / Head Football / Head Boys Basketball / Head Track

Teaching Field: PE, History, or Junior High Math

Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year

Rule ISD is a small, close-knit 1A district in West Texas with strong community support, proud traditions, and a growing vision for athletics and student leadership. Our Bobcats compete with heart, grit, pride, and sportsmanship. We are seeking a leader who will continue to build a strong athletic culture while investing in students on and off the field.

Coaching Responsibilities

Athletic Director (oversight of all athletic programs)

Head Football Coach

Head Boys Basketball Coach

Head Boys Track Coach

Teaching Assignment (based on certification & district need)

Physical Education/History/Junior High Math

Desired Qualities

Builds strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.

Develops athletes academically, socially, and athletically.

Leads with integrity, accountability, and energy.

Has strong organizational skills for scheduling, UIL compliance, and program development.

Believes in building a full program culture (JH → HS pipeline).

Is excited to be part of a small-town school family.

Qualifications

Valid Texas teaching certification (PE, History, or Math)

CDL

Coaching experience preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills
