
Position Title: Audience & Sales Manager
Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $50,000 annually
Position Summary Timber Lake Playhouse seeks a results-driven Audience & Sales Manager to lead earned revenue growth through ticket sales strategy, CRM management, group sales development, and front‑of‑house revenue oversight.
Lead the patron experience from first click to final curtain — growing audiences, driving revenue, and becoming the familiar face guests are genuinely happy to see when they arrive.
This position is responsible for increasing attendance, improving subscription retention, maximizing AudienceView CRM data, and implementing structured sales initiatives that directly impact revenue. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, community‑oriented, and energized by measurable growth.
Core Responsibilities Ticket Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute annual ticket sales strategy aligned with revenue goals
Increase subscription sales and renewal rates
Develop structured group sales initiatives targeting schools, churches, tour operators, civic groups, and corporate outings
Monitor weekly sales pacing and adjust tactics accordingly
Implement dynamic pricing and discount strategy in collaboration with Executive Director
Customer Relations & Data Management (AudienceView)
Own and manage AudienceView ticketing system
Segment patron data to identify lapsed buyers and growth opportunities
Develop targeted email campaigns based on purchasing behavior
Generate weekly sales and revenue reports for leadership
Ensure accurate data entry, reporting, and database integrity
Front‑of‑House & Box Office Leadership
Supervise box office staff and seasonal FOH workers
Train staff in customer service and sales‑focused engagement
Implement upselling strategies and customer retention tactics
Monitor comp ticket usage and ensure revenue discipline
Oversee box office scheduling and labor efficiency
Community & Partnership Outreach
Build partnerships with local businesses and tourism entities
Develop promotional collaborations that drive ticket sales
Represent TLP at local events to promote attendance
Identify new audience development opportunities within regional markets
Performance Metrics
Increase in overall ticket revenue
Growth in subscription sales and renewals
Increase in group sales revenue
Improvement in CRM engagement and segmentation
Weekly revenue reporting accuracy
Front‑of‑house performance and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years experience in ticket sales, audience development, or arts marketing
Experience using CRM/ticketing platforms (AudienceView preferred)
Strong analytical skills and comfort interpreting sales data
Proven track record of revenue growth or sales achievement
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends during performance season
Preferred Experience
Experience in performing arts or live event environments
Knowledge of subscription‑based sales models
Familiarity with rural or regional market dynamics
Work Environment This position requires regular on‑site presence, particularly during performance season, with flexibility for limited remote administrative work in the off‑season.
