Boeing is seeking a

Mid-Level

Communications and Brand Specialist

to join our Air Dominance Communications team in

St. Louis City, MO , supporting a world-leading portfolio of advanced tactical aircraft including fighter jets, trainers and autonomous aircraft.

As a member of the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Communications and Brand team, the successful candidate will partner with program and site leaders, Public Affairs Officers, and Communications teammates across the enterprise and other stakeholders to create and implement effective internal and external communications strategies, tactics and narratives.

Our Communications and Brand Specialists have the opportunity to work on a variety of programs, capabilities and initiatives, with specific portfolios evolving with the business. This position will initially support the MQ-25A Stingray TM autonomous aerial refueling program and assist with communications for the St. Louis site.

Position Responsibilities Strategic Communications Planning

Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with program milestones, business goals and objectives, site activities, and stakeholder needs

Translate complex aerospace and defense information and goals into clear, compelling messages

Draft press releases, responses to query, talking points and narratives focused on reaching key audiences

Employee Communications

Partner with program leadership to drive employee awareness, morale, and alignment. Advise on communication effectiveness

Produce internal communications deliverables – both written and video – such as internal news and feature stories, leadership messages and newsletters

Deliver internal updates through company channels with clarity and inspiration, in alignment with the BDS employee communications strategy

Executive and Stakeholder Support

Counsel leaders on communications issues, media and employee engagements, risks, and opportunities

Create speeches, prep documents, talking points, and briefing materials for targeted engagements

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Public Affairs Officers, key suppliers, industry and business partners, as well as reporters

Support relevant trade shows and special projects, as needed

Brand and Digital Communications

Ensure brand consistency across all assets and deliverables

Create and collaborate on videos, photos, graphics, social media, and digital storytelling

Issues and Crisis Communication

Manage emergent issues to ensure internal awareness and customer alignment while protecting Boeing’s brand and reputation

Cross-Functional Integration

Act as a liaison and drive alignment between business partners to ensure strategy and message cohesion

Collaborate and use feedback to adjust tactics and implement best practices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

5+ years of experience with communications planning and implementation

Experience in internal, executive, or external communications support, including advising leaders on strategy

Experience in communication planning inclusive of leader messages, internal stories, videos, web and social media content

Experience with content creation, including creating and editing copy, images and video

Experience with producing, writing and editing multiple communications deliverables such as news releases, statements, RTQs, feature stories, speeches, videos, social media, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

U.S. government security clearance

Aerospace industry experience and/or government sector experience

Capability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Capability to prioritize competing and multiple projects and requests, while maintaining focus on strategic objectives

Experience with measuring and analyzing metrics to ensure the effectiveness of communications plans and tactics

Experience developing and executing strategic marketing and communication plans based on program goals and business objectives

Commitment to adopting new approaches, technologies, processes and tools to continuously improve and evolve engagement strategies for key stakeholders

Sound judgment in managing crisis communications and high-profile situations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $87,550 - $118,450
