Digital Marketing Coordinator

Trevinos Auto Mart, Mcallen, Texas, United States, 78501

Save Job

This Isn’t a “Post on Instagram” Job We’re a family-run used car dealership that’s been in the Rio Grande Valley for over three decades. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a real marketing career — not just manage a social media page. You’ll work directly with the owner, learn real marketing strategy from the ground up, and have a hand in everything from creating content to managing ad campaigns to researching where our next advertising dollar should go.

You don’t need 10 years of experience. You need to be curious, resourceful, and the kind of person who looks at a post that got 500 views and immediately starts thinking about how to get the next one to 2,000. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

What You’ll Do Content & Social Media

Come up with creative ideas for social media content — videos, reels, posts, stories — that actually get people’s attention and bring them into the dealership

Create and schedule content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms using the tools we provide

Be the voice and personality of Trevino’s Auto Mart online — bilingual (English/Spanish) is a big plus

Advertising & Media Buying

Learn and manage Facebook Ads and Google Ads campaigns — setting them up, monitoring performance, and adjusting targeting and budgets based on results

Research new advertising channels like Connected TV (streaming ads), and make recommendations on where we should be spending

Track and report on ad performance — impressions, clicks, cost per lead, frequency, audience reach — and use those numbers to make things better

Strategy & Research

Research our market, our competition, and our target audience to identify where and how to advertise most effectively

Sit down with the owner regularly to review what’s working, what’s not, and where to go next

Stay on top of marketing trends, new platforms, and new tools that could give us an edge

Who You Are

You have a business brain — you think about results, not just aesthetics. You want to know if something is working and why.

You’re naturally curious and resourceful. If you don’t know how to do something, you’ll figure it out — YouTube, Google, whatever it takes.

You’re active on social media yourself and you understand what makes content perform. You get the trends, the algorithms, the culture.

You’re not afraid of numbers. You don’t need to be a statistician, but you care about metrics and want to understand what they mean.

You’re hungry to grow. You see this as an opportunity to become a real marketer, not just fill a seat.

You’re a self-starter who takes ownership. When you’re given a project, you run with it.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus for our Rio Grande Valley market.

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

Degree or coursework in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

Any experience running Facebook or Google ad campaigns, even small ones

Google Ads Certification or Meta Blueprint Certification

Experience creating video content (even just for personal social media)

Basic understanding of marketing metrics like CPM, CTR, CPC, ROAS

What We Offer

Competitive salary ($32,000–$38,000 depending on experience) plus performance bonuses tied to real results

Direct mentorship from the owner — you’ll learn the business side of marketing, not just the creative side

Access to professional marketing tools and real ad budgets to work with

A chance to build something and see your work directly drive business growth

Room to grow as the role expands — this position has a path to becoming our full Marketing Manager

How to Apply Send us your resume along with the following:

Links to any social media pages you manage or your own personal accounts (we want to see how you think about content)

A short paragraph (just a few sentences) telling us: If you had $500 and one week to bring more customers into a car dealership, what would you do?

That’s it. No cover letter needed. Just show us who you are and how you think.

Trevino’s Auto Mart is an equal opportunity employer.

We’re not looking for perfect — we’re looking for hungry.
