Role Description

This is a remote role for a Volunteer Editor in Chief. The Editor in Chief will oversee the development, editing, and quality assurance of all content produced by the organization. Responsibilities include managing a team of writers and editors, developing editorial strategies, ensuring content aligns with the organization's mission, reviewing drafts, and meeting deadlines. The role also involves mentoring team members, curating articles, and coordinating with other departments for content alignment.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in editing, proofreading, and content creation
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Strategic planning, communication, and collaboration abilities
• Experience in digital content platforms, audience engagement, and content distribution
• Ability to balance creativity with organizational goals
• A degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field (preferred)
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment
• Experience leading volunteer teams and nonprofit initiatives is a plus
• Be willing to work 6-8 hour per week
